| System file write protection !
This is just a potential problem. If get fail with a GENav message "can not open files". Try login as administrator and as well run GENav as administrator. The default installation location is now "root"\\GENav (i.e. typical C:\\GENav). If you change this to another path such as "Programfiles" you may encounter the same problem on some systems.

Navigraph installer is changed about March 2011. If you chose the default installation "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", the install path may still be "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9". Please change this to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X" if you wish it work with location for Flight Simulator X.

| I see nothing visible in Google Earth, what's wrong ?
Following is step by step basic tests.
TEST-A Google Earth (GE) KML import.
1. Test Google Earth with a pre-created KML-file.
2. Double click the downloaded AIRAC.kml (require only Google Earth installed, GENav is not required ).
Go to U.S. and zoom in, when at about half U.S. visible, then also airport should start be visible. Notice the airports is Euroean/Eastern misplaced at earth same as the GENav demo is. The airports ICAO names should be there while the real icons possible could be missing indicated by GE's X-icon (due to different path or not installed GENav). You should be able to click the icons in GE and see airports information pop up in bubbles.
If you don't see this your file-type KML may not be correct registered in Windows. Try reinstall Google Earth or look forum solution Windows file-type-registering
TEST-B GENav most basic function.
If you have installed GENav and change database or registered the product, then uninstall GENav and delete the folder "Program Files"/GENav
1. Download GENav and in the default unregistered DEMO-version, using default AIRAC local database cycle 0608, create the database. (i.e. after install GENav, change nothing but just select Create/Update database).
2. At main page, select region N.America and un-select all other typed but leave only "Airports" selected, and then export to GE ( i.e. export only Northe american airports-object ). This is to try the minimum requirements.
3. Wait until GE initialize and wait until GE earth start rotate and zoom in.
5. Now GE earth should be able to rotate and zoom using the mouse.
6. Go to U.S. and zoom in, when at about half U.S. visible, then also airport should start be visible. Notice the airports is Euroean/Eastern misplaced in U.S. The airports ICAO names should be there with airports icons. You should be able to click the icons in GE and see airports information pop up in bubbles.
7. Search airports via ICAO code should work as well.
Comments
If this test-B work, then try step by step to include more object-types to export to GE.
If you in test-B don't see airports at all (even not without icons) and the test-A above works, then the KML-files may be different to the test-A above. Then do following, take the file "Program Files"/GENav/Copyright_Output/AIRAC.kml you may send to |
